In a shocking incident in Gujarat, more than 500 students attended a class at a coaching institute in the town of Jasdan, Rajkot. According to authorities, all the students were sitting next to each other in the class, neither wearing a mask nor maintaining social distancing norms.

This incident happened at a time when most of the states are under lockdown, including Gujarat which is under a partial lockdown.

The owner of this renowned coaching centre has been arrested for flouting COVID rules. Rajkot police chief said that his team raided the coaching centre soon after receiving several complaints that few coaching institutes in the city are still functioning.

According to reports, the owner was identified as Jaysukh Sankhalva, who runs a coaching-cum-hostel for students preparing for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and Balachadi Sainik School entrance exam.
