Key Responsibilities

  • Follow the set guidelines for the website to create news stories
  • Write reports & analytical pieces that is simple, concise and easy to understand in a variety of formats
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to come up with story ideas, formats, styles and release quality content
  • File three stories per week as part of a retainer contract

Essential Skills

  • Instinctive researching and fact checking skills
  • Innovative with crisp storytelling formats
  • A stickler for details, without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Good planning and coordination abilities
  • A keen interest in politics and current affairs
  • Staying up to date with current affairs, industry trends and emerging channels
  • Able to deliver within tight deadlines
  • Self starter who can multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
  • Strong people skills to reach out to sources and experts

Key Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in English, Journalism or similar fields
  • A proven track record of being a impactful writer and editor, preferably in the digital space
  • Expert understanding of WordPress (publishing tool) and SEO practices
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Keyword Planner
